Kat Comedy Showcase - Sam Houston State University

The Kat Comedy Showcase takes place on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. Brought to SHSU by the SHSU Division of Student Affairs, it is the premiere comedy show for SHSU and is an exclusive event to students. With past comedians like Gabriel Iglesias and Tiffany Haddish, this is a must-see event.

NO REFUNDS will be provided. Lost, stolen, scalped, or counterfeit tickets will not be honored. The resale of tickets on University property is strictly prohibited.

How many friends can I bring?

All SHSU students receive two (2) free tickets. Any NON-SHSU student will have to purchase a general admission ticket for $20.

Will you be mailing tickets out?

No. We will be using a will call ticket system only.

Can I purchase my tickets over the phone?

Yes, but only until close of business on Tuesday 9/21. To reserve your two free tickets or to purchase a ticket over the phone, we will need your credit/debit card number, expiration date, and security code located on the back of the card. Also, we will need an E-Mail address to send a confirmation email. You will be able to pick them up during regular box office hours at WILL CALL the night of the show.

Which credit cards are accepted? Are there refunds?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club. No refunds will be given.

Are outside Food/Drink, Alcohol, or Pets allowed?

All purses and hand-held bags will be inspected prior to entry. NO BACKPACKS or UMBRELLAS PERMITTED! No Large Handbags! No alcohol or tobacco products. No outside food/beverages.

Are Cameras/Video Recorders allowed?

Professional lenses or disposable cameras are NOT PERMITED. Video cameras are NOT PERMITED. Cell phones are permitted however, the use of cell phone camera and video is NOT. UPD reserves the right to tell any guest to put it away during the show, if it continues to be a problem, the guest will be escorted out of the building.

Can I leave and return during the performance?

• NO. No re-entry will be allowed unless approved by facility manager or designated staff at Gate # 22.

Can Non-Students attend? Are children allowed?

Yes, there are a limited number of tickets to be sold for $20 each. We strongly encourage all attendees to be 17 years of age. Show will contain strong language. This is a College Show!

Is there a cost to park?

Each attendee who drives to the show must make their own parking arrangements on campus. Please visit Parking & Transportation website for more information.

Will there be merchandise for sale?

To be determined. If yes, each comedian will have their own set-up of t-shirts and novelty items.

Is seating reserved or open?

All seating for this year’s comedy show is General Admission. First come, first serve on seating choice.
